She may not have won Brad Womack's heart, or Ben Flajnik's, on The Bachelor. But Shawntel Newton got Paola Poidmore to offer her his final rose.
Or at least an engagement ring.
"I said YES! We are engaged!! I feel like the luckiest girl in the world!! #Love #Happiestgirlintheworld," the cute California mortician tweeted excitedly this week.
"We are excited to get married! Let the planning begin :)"
Paola Poidmore is a Sacramento-based orthodontist.
"I am very lucky," he tweeted shortly after the proposing to Shawntel Newton. "She's beautiful, funny, easy going, smart, and most importantly she loves Jesus!"
Even close pals like Emily Maynard, who co-starred and won on the same Bachelor season (before splitting with Womack) are sending their well wishes.
"Congratulations @Shawntel_Newton!" Emily tweeted to her former co-star. "You're going to be the most beautiful bride! I couldn't be happier for you xox"
